My name is Afeni, I am a London based creative.

 

This online portfolio directly discusses and questions the role contemporary creative media has when contributing to a platform which misrepresents black and mixed raced women in regards to appearance and attitude.

Through historical content that expands our knowledge on the idea of 'fascination', interaction with the concept of social placement and personal understandings of psychological repercussions, I aim to create a piece of work that intrudes on the expectations and stereotypes placed upon women of colour.
